Assumptions
What the numbers assume.
- Use summary revenue and cost totals, not buyer names, donor private contacts, student data, card details, bank details, or tax IDs.
- Revenue and cost rows can use units times price/cost or one trusted actual total override.
- Blank numeric fields count as zero. Negative values are treated as zero and flagged for review.
- Participant count is for a rough per-participant result; fractional counts are rounded down.
- This is a planning worksheet. Official accounting, tax decisions, deposits, receipts, and approvals stay in your normal systems.
Formula notes
How the totals are calculated.
- Revenue rows use actual total override when entered; otherwise the row total is units sold times price per unit.
- Cost rows use actual total override when entered; otherwise the row total is units times unit cost.
- Percent fee amount is gross revenue times the entered percent fee divided by 100.
- Net profit is gross revenue minus direct costs minus flat and percent-based fees.
- Gross margin is net profit divided by gross revenue when revenue is greater than zero.
- Break-even units divide direct costs plus fees by average revenue per sold unit when unit data is available.
